Cryptocurrency in 2019 : investing

I haven’t been in the market for nearly a year and I’m not sure which projects I should be supporting. Can anyone provide a TLDR on what is worth my investment at this time, or whether I should just keep my tether.

It is your call.

BTC is going to fork soooooonish.

I would say BTC, XRP, ETH, LTC or Stellar.

Or Ethereum if you like the idea of all these Dapps that are currently being developed.

Than you will miss quite a few technologies with out mining.

Hey all, so I have (spare) 10K to invest, I’m throwing it all on Crypto. The question is, what one?

What arguments would you guys make that a 10K investment can bring 10x returns in a couple of years? While it seems you can just throw a dart at the top 100 cryptos and make returns, some projects don’t survive the years.

Edit: Please include maybe an article or sources? What makes that crypto promising? I need some reasoning behind WHY i should invest not just coins.

I’ve seen quite a few interesting projects, but I like to get the general communities consensus on what going to be the next “big deal”

Safest bet just buy Bitcoin and store it on a ledger. Keep it safe and wait for the next bull run.

Or just buy index funds. Well defined algorithmic rebalancing instead of peoples shilled shit coins and emotions.

I have been interested in crypto for a while, but as we all know, they didn’t havent been doing well for the last year. I’m thinking about buying about $1000 in btc and seeing what happens over the next few months. I k ow there is no way to predict the future, but is there any hope that the prices will rise again?

Buy crypto if the money you’re investing, is money you’re willing/OK to lose. Since we can’t ask a time traveler, assume the worst so the worst doesn’t happen to your portfolio.

A time traveler said to buy Bitcoin.

at the point where most people have no hope of the price going up again, that is when people have the most to gain

I agree.

its crashing but its the perfect time to invest because it will skyrocket back and that would be amazing after investing in bitcoins at a low rate and watch it skyrocket. i invested with Nation Crypto and till date i still make profits even during this crashing period, plus i have my coins insured to avoid any total loss if it comes to that.

Looking back in recent history, it seems as though big investors and financial organizations are changing their attitudes towards Bitcoin and altcoins. The media coverage worldwide illuminated the vast returns being had in the cryptocurrency markets, with many coins up over 100x since their conception. This certainly has garnered the attention from both legacy and newcomer investors. Currently, everyone is waiting to see if cryptocurrencies can continue on their path to new all time highs.

2017 turned out to be a whirlwind year, with most cryptocurrencies soaring to new all time highs at the end of 2017 and early 2018. The media coverage of cryptocurrencies was nonstop, with news reports on financial programs almost daily.

I don’t see harm in buying a small amount but don’t make it a significant portion of your investments.

I think blockchain is a legitimate technology, but cryptocurrencies will not be the implementation that changes money.

If someone is comfortable with a small, high risk/high reward play, BTC is a good vessel. With that being said, it should be nothing more than a small part of a portfolio (<5%), and should only be invested in when most funds have been allocated in to far better places.

I have a small amount of play money in a few coins.

I don’t follow it at all.

If I see crypto in the main stream news non-stop again, I’ll see where I’m at. Otherwise, it just rides.

1/ investing in crypto means investing for 5 years and more. this way you could weather the markets instability.

I’m 16 years old and I want to invest in cryptocurrency.

There is so much information, I’m not sure where to start.

I have about 300$ I’m willing to risk. My question is – what cryptocurrency should I invest in? Should I invest in one or several others? Which do you consider to be the best wallet?

It might sound silly, but I’m looking for something high-risk high-reward. I want to make profit in the coming months/years, not necessarily save up for retirement. I know this question is asked a lot, but I would really appreciate any input.

If you want high risk and high reward I would recommend roulette. If you pick a single number you have the chance to win 3600% of your investment.

Do not, I repeat do not take any one’s advice on one or more specific crypto’s.

Hi everyone, Im a beginner in the CryptoCurrency world, I really want understand this market very well and I would like to know what type of coins are you investing and the reason why? Im now thinking of investing in Litecoin or Ripple but Im not sure, thats a good idea?

Posts like these are fish bait for a special breed we call “shillers” you’ll find them out, arguably I’ll do a little shilling myself.

Invest in coins you actually understand and you’ll actually use, for example: I like litecoin, but I don’t “invest” in it, I just use it as a transfer of value since it has low fees, but it’s also a currency and I find it somewhat pointless to “invest” in a currency unless I’m gonna spend it, then it’s not an investment.

Another example: I invest mainly in coins that deal with smart contracts because I have bad penmanship and I don’t quite like lawyers.

Hi guys, my question is essentially in the title but of course please provide a reason. I’ll start this myself first.

Reason: it is presently the fastest cryptocurrency that exists right now in the top 100 by market cap.

Nodes are a lot less taxing than mineable cryptocurrency.

Anybody can set up a node, and buying votes with Nano is not a problem like it is within the EOS ecosystem. Most of the core development is done and once it is finished then Payment Systems within the ecosystem may be on the rise.

I don’t like other people seeing my transactions. People wouldn’t post their bank statement online but they do this every time they use 99% of cryptos.

To understand why you should invest in cryptocurrency you first need a foundation of how it works and why distributed ledger technology has the potential to change the world. If you’re not super familiar with the tech I would recommend checking these out:

Decent intro to the tech: Blockchains: How they work and why they’ll change the world

I would also strongly suggest any of Andreas Antonopolous’s videos on youtube, and the bitcoin and ethereum white papers.

The reason I’m not putting in any money into crypto is because I have no idea what kind of news could make the price go up

Right now we’re in a clear downtrend, so it looks like some big news would be required to bring in enough new money to break the trend and start a new market cycle.
