Pretty much what the title says.

I would like to have the BTC available to spend asap for a temporary discounted rate sale when using crypto.

Fees aren’t a big deal to me since any reasonable fee would be less than the discount.

Gemini let’s me deposit up to $1000/day to instantly make trades with.

Even before it fully clears my bank account.

Gemini’s fee is 1%.

That’s making trades.

How soon can you spend it though.

I can’t find any information on their site about how soon you can transfer bitcoin to an external wallet after making a deposit. Don’t really want to sign up for a 10th account only to find out that Gemini also doesn’t allow transfers until you’ve held the bitcoin in your account for a couple weeks. All these investing platforms make spending your bitcoin same day as purchase impossible.

If you’re in the US, I’d suggest using Square’s Cash App.

So first of all, I get this email that says my account is NOW available for instant bank transfer buys.

I follow the instructions to the letter and sure enough I can purchase instantly using my bank account. I have made 2 such purchases.

Today I attempt a large purchase (roughly 1/10th of my weekly limit) and all the steps are exactly the same.

As you can see there’s nothing here that would indicate anything but an INSTANT BUY.

This is beyond aggravating. Charging these ridiculous fees and promising instant buys only to turn around and say, “psych! got ya btch! We’ll give you your BTC when we’re god damn good and ready. “

It is an “instant buy” in the fact that you will buy the coin at the price it is at, at the time you purchase it. It just won’t be available in your account until the ACH clears which takes around 7 days.

So I’ll admit, I’m somewhat new to this.

I did know about bitcoin when it was $400 though, but it’s hard to convince your parents to let you invest in virtual internet money when youre 14 lol. I believe that bitcoin is going to keep rising from the point it’s at now. I looked around for the lowest fees to buying bitcoin and figure coinbase pro would be the cheapest/best. Its telling me that I would need to wait 2-3 days to verify my bank account and then 3-5 days for the transfer. I’m thinking now it might be better to eat a somewhat higher fee in order to get in faster (from all my investing knowledge gosh I know how stupid this sounds but bear with me).

I was trying to purchase something online from a site that only accepts BTC (the site is legit).

I bought roughly $37 worth of BTC.

To place the order, I need to send an exact amount to the sites BTC address. To my dismay, Coinbase is telling me my funds won’t be available to send for another 20 days (technically 19 according to the app). I did the photo ID verification, I used my bank account instead of debit, etc.

It says I have approx.

$39 worth of BTC in my wallet but I have ‘$0.00 available to send’.

Then it says I have roughly $37 on hold for 19 days.

Is this common? Do I seriously not have BTC to send for 20 days? I was already feeling sketchy about using Coinbase but now I’m a bit furious, and I can’t imagine how I’d feel if I bought thousands of dollars worth, like so many people do.

Asking you guys for help/advice.

Bitcoin has been on a surge, although its value did skid Thursday morning, plunging $2,000 in less than 24 hours after the cryptocurrency trading platform Coinbase experienced a Wednesday outage.

On Sunday, the digital currency soared above $11,000 for the first time in 15 months, climbing to $13,485.85. That’s its highest price since January 2018 before a big crash in November 2018 wiped out 70% of its value and dropped the price below $4,000.

Bitcoin is highly volatile, as those figures show, and is still off its highs of about $20,000 reached in late 2017.

It’s easy to buy bitcoin if you want to see what owning it is like. And if the price sounds too steep, you don’t need to buy an entire bitcoin just to participate in the market.

Buying bitcoins via credit and debit cards is one of the most popular and convenient ways to purchase Bitcoin.

Convenience can come at a price, as most cryptocurrency exchanges will charge around 4% for card purchases. If delivery speed isn’t a factor, consider using a bank account to save on fees.

Here are some of the best exchanges we recommend that allow for purchasing of Bitcoin with a credit card.

After reading about each exchange and you’ll be able to decide which one is the best for you.

Then, once you’ve decided which exchange to use look towards the bottom of this page for step by step guides on using each exchange.

I am having trouble buying bitcoin online because I am sick of paying such high fees at bitcoin atm’s. I am looking to buy bitcoin to use on international betting sites such as bovada and betonline but these sites do not accept my chase debit card.

I have a coinbase account and have made very light purchases in crypto.

I would like to buy at least two bitcoin at this point.

Is coinbase a safe place to do that?

Many of the largest exchanges will usually offer a relatively “safe” experience, however as soon as you purchase it is good practice to immediately withdraw your Bitcoin balance to your own personal wallet (where only you know the private keys).

I use Kraken for over a while now, plus they’ve got support chat when I needed help. there’s not other exchange I trust more since they are said to be very security minded… I’ve not regretted my decision.

Since you already have a coinbase account, log in to http://pro.coinbase.com and deposit funds into your account with an ACH bank transfer (no cost, but takes a little time to clear).

Hello! I am interested in buying some BTC and hold for long-term perspectives. What’s the fastest and secure way of doing it? I am thinking about getting a free digital wallet, go to an exchange and buy BTC, save my password in a secure place and just relax and wait for few months. Did I miss anything? Any advise is highly appreciated!

No need to rush.

Personally, I use GDAX (a Coinbase exchange).

Gemini also has a good reputation.

After you buy, transfer the coins to the wallet you control.

I’d also suggest waiting a lot longer than a ‘few months’.

If you want your Bitcoin to have fully appreciated in value, you will never convert it to fiat. Instead, everyone will already be accepting it, so you’ll just use it to make purchases.

So I’ll admit, I’m somewhat new to this.

I did know about bitcoin when it was $400 though, but it’s hard to convince your parents to let you invest in virtual internet money when youre 14 lol. So, I bought my first $300 of crypto currency recently from coinbase. (I know, they are awful) I initially attempted to buy via a debit card, but despite having a level 3 account, Coinbase limits these transactions to $50/week with a rediculous fee which wasn’t going to do it for me.

So I spent a couple days verifying a bank account and successfully bought the crypto. While I can trade just fine within coinbase, I cannot transfer the coins to an external wallet for 18 days while the funds just sit in my bank. There has got to be a faster way of doing this.

i tried coinbase but their support was pretty much nonexistant, using coinmama.com now and they actually respond when i need help

Cointree has been my go to exchange, so simple to use, good rates, lots of altcoins to choose from and fast customer support.

It depends on the country you live.

I use Coinify in Guarda wallet, but it’s for EU only.

You can also try Indacoin or CEX, for example.

By the way, ChangeNOW partners with Indacoin, so you can buy any coins right away.

if you buy btc on there do you have to wait a certain amount of time before transferring it to another wallet?

A good option for UK/European customers is CoinCorner.

So just realized that I can’t use my credit card to make a purchase, and to do an etransfer will require a lengthy process in certain exchanges. I also saw some sites have ridiculous fees.

What are other regular traders doing in Canada to beat the ban banks have put on us and bypass some places with high fees? I’m looking to buy crypto with fiat at the most efficient way possible.

I’ve been using ndax to buy crypto for a month now with e transfers. very easy to get verified, you just need to confirm your cellphone number. plus their rates are much better for buying then quadrigacx.

If you have a verified PayPal account you can do it at 10minutebitcoin.com

If you are looking to Buy bitcoin, then the methods available will differ based on a few factors:

First-time buyers, wishing to use a credit or debit card, might find the Online stores (e.g., 247Exchange, CEX.io, Coinify, CoinCorner, Jubiter, BitQuick QuickBuy and CoinMama) useful — albeit expensive.

Remember, …

not your keys, not your coins.

Which means, don’t keep coins on exchange following your purchase.

dont use paypal.
